Publish the post.<\/p>\n<p>While you are still on the &#8220;Edit Page&#8221; screen, click the button next to the <strong>permalink<\/strong> below the title of the post that says, &#8220;Get Shortlink&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-707 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/state.sbuhi.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/calendar-link-1-1-1.jpg\" alt=\"calendar link 1\" width=\"828\" height=\"206\" \/>Copy the text that appears in the shortlink window.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/state.sbuhi.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/calendar-link-2-1-1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-708\" src=\"http:\/\/state.sbuhi.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/calendar-link-2-1-1.jpg\" alt=\"calendar link 2\" width=\"291\" height=\"180\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Open your Google calendar and create a new event. Set the time and date as normal. Fill in any event details. When you are done:<\/p>\n<p>In the <strong>Description<\/strong> window, type:<\/p>\n<pre>&lt;a href=\"<\/pre>\n<p>Then paste the shortlink you copied earlier, making sure there are no spaces. After the shortlink, type:<\/p>\n<pre>\u00a0\"&gt;View Flyer&lt;\/a&gt;<\/pre>\n<p>Save your calendar event.<\/p>\n<p>Your event now contains a clickable link that will take visitors directly to the post with the flyer, allowing them to view or download it directly.
